Flowers!

     Whew, another day of hot, hot weather is in store for us, and I am having to baby my poor little flowers in this god awful heat.  Remember my little lady planter that I was all braggin about back in April here

 I'm sorry to report that things didn't turn out so well for my wee little planter like I had planned.

Because it ended up looking like this...

I went out of town and it was hot.  I mean toe sizzlin hot, and I was a neglectful plant proprietor protector...and I'm feeling kind of bad about it...So I started all over people, and now the little lady planter looks like this...

I love, love, love the chartreuse green sweet potato vine contrasting with the cool colors of the other flowers.

  

By the pool, the yellow lantana and fuchsia purslane are happy as can be...

In the shade, my big fat white hydrangea is hanging in there...

And the crepe myrtles are in bloom...

Even the little bee is workin it out on this hot June morning!
