It's spring break in Dallas, and I'm not at a beach...grrr, let's shop for the beach anyhoo!

So I'm stuck in Dallas for spring break which isn't so very bad because it's sunny and 81 today which is warmer than most of Florida thank you very much, but I'm desperate for a beach people!  A beach and a cabana boy!  A beach and a cabana boy bringing me a minty mojito whilst adjusting my shade in a timely manner with an appropriate umbrella as needed and spritzing me with some serious SPF per my sad Irish skin situation!  OY, yet sadly, I was stuck in Dallas 'cause Big D had his poor gallbladder taken out on Monday and all is well after a little super glue, sticky tape, a couple days of narcotics, a little bit of R and R, and the miracle of modern medicine has made Big D as good as new!  But before the superglue/narcotic Manic Monday I spent last Friday down in Dallas perusing some places I haven't been in a while looking for some treasures for Beach Cheeky...

This is Big Mango Trading Company, and they have the most original things that you don't see anywhere else.  A lot of their things come from Bali, and they are all pretty special...

A huge teak root sculpture that is headed for a Possum Kingdom "lake house" which is really, let's face it, probably more a lake mansion because it is not only art for the house, but it will be enclosed in a wall of glass to provide a protective wall from the elements...that sounds fancy schmancy...just sayin...
I know this looks faux bois, but it is not, it's another teak root thing, and it's crazy amazing!  What a bench this would be!!!

OK I fell in love with these, and I'm thinking they would be adorable at Beach Cheeky in some gravel at the front of the house or even out back on the dock...
Some interesting statues, not my particular cup of tea, but it's all very zen for sure...
Love this sculptured ball of from a teak root!
Gorgeous blue volcanic glass...
Granite and limestone balls for landscaping...these are so great!

Love this drift wood mirror...ignore me in the mirror!
