Fabric choices for Beach Cheeky...

It's getting pretty close with the completion of Beach Cheeky!  The floors are being put in this week followed by all the kitchen and bathroom cabinets and the gynormous kitchen island.  I'm trying to wrap my head around fabric choices and it's making me crazier than the lighting decisions I went through a couple of months ago.  I spent yesterday going to the Fabric Factory and Calico Corners in Dallas and on to another place today, because I am needing to investigate some more!  The more I look, the more confused I get!  My couch fabric is a gray linen fabric called Glyn Linen Metal, and the two swivel chairs are done in the color Patton Denim in linen.
I need to find material for the bar stools, which I am deciding between Ballard Design Marcello and sending them fabric and change the wood color to a driftwood color...love the nail heads here...
Or the more expensive Lee Industries counter stool...ugh, I think this might be my least favorite actually because it looks awkward I think!
What I really love is this Lee Industries slipcovered campaign bar stool, but it doesn't swivel, and I feel like I really need a swivel!

Then there are cushions to pick out for the banquet
So I've been looking at all of this!
I love this huge blue paisley on the cream, would be gorgeous in anything, but it's a poly/rayon blend and I want to stick with cottons and linens.  Maybe for a head board, that could be quite pretty...

And this...
Ima definitely gonna lose my mind with potential fabric situation possibilities!

Best idea ever? Sprinkles cupcakes ATM!

I was out checking on the antique booth this weekend with Big D, and then followed it up with a rather lovely lunch at Hillstone in Park Cities.  It's located in a shopping area called Preston Center that has all kinds of great shops, and most particularly Sprinkles Cupcakes.  They really do have delish cupcakes, although nothing beats Crumbs in NYC if you ask me.  They are so popular down here that now you can get them 24/7 since they put in the most ingenious cupcake ATM!
And there was a line, which is weird, because the store was open!
It's a brilliant idea I tell you...

What's new at the antique booth?
An adorable 1950's California Pottery platter for Thanksgiving!
Or a great feathered blue ironstone one...
Some Victorian hollow cut silhouettes...
Another great vintage oar (I sold all the others!) and a concrete rooster and hen...

A gilded Hollywood Regency fireplace screen...
Old zinc candle holders...
 And more great ironstone pieces!

It's the middle of October!

It's the middle of October, and I have yet to post this month which is terrible!  I'd like to say I've had some amazing adventure, but truth be told I've just been busy doing a little bit of everything and the poor blog has taken a back seat.  I just ordered the couch for Beach Cheeky, which was kind of a nightmare because I had to make a decision super quick in order to get it there for the holidays.  I was going back and forth between a sofa from Room and Board online, which kind of terrified me, and another by Lee Industries that again I was doing by sight alone.  I was actually having odd dreams about fabric choices that involved some kind of an airplane, so I believe me when I tell you I was losing my mind with this whole thing!

Room and Board...love the simple lines and fabric...
Lee...this would be configured like above in an L.  Love the cushion on this thing, super comfy!
I have sat in many of Lee's sofas so I do have some sense of what they are like and they are known for amazing quality, but still I was back and forth, back and forth, changing my mind over a 24 hour period.  I finally decided on the Lee because of the quality of the couch.  I know I will have it for a very long time and the cost difference was not a dramatic one.  I ended up picking a grayish/taupe linen for the slipcover, since we let our dogs completely rule our lives...and they know it.

So that's done, whew!  In other news, Halloween is in a hop and a skip and ole witchy poo is standing proud in front of the house!

Now I have to figure out what in the world I'm going to be!!
