Wishing I was in Round Top…Let's go antiquing anyway!

It's that time of year when Round Top is going on down in the hill country of Texas, and it is like nothing you have ever seen!  Antiques as far as the eye can see, and it goes on for nearly a month.  This week is the famous Marburger Farms at Round Top and it is supposed to be amazing.  When I went a few years ago, we went to the pre-sale for Round Top and I was dying to make it down again this year, but never got a chance.  Marburger Farms is the creme de la creme of Round Top with stiff prices to match!

Here's some delicious examples from Marburger Farms in previous years…some gorgeous Swedish pieces...

So instead I headed down to Dallas to see what needed to be done at my antique booth and what a mess it was!  It is in desperate need for new items and looks positively baron and lonely.  One of my pieces was moved to the front of the building mixed with other vendors antiques (yay!) so hopefully this new location helps it sell soon…My piece is the large French mirror…
While I was down there, I took a few pictures of some other interesting pieces…loves these weathered architectural pieces...
I wouldn't mind having this giant clam shell for Beach Cheeky...
Or some great pieces of coral…

This huge wooden swan was wild, not sure what one would do with this, maybe fill with potted orchids...
A cute bench in need of recovering…
 Some great lighting...
A green painted cabinet…
And a little bit of this and that…

Spring has sprung thank goodness!!

Everyone is getting in the spring mood including Whole Foods who had a delightful colorful floral spread in the produce section this morning.

We just got back from our Spring Break trip at Beach Cheeky and minus a couple of rainy chilly days, it was glorious!

I found a little shop right up 30A that had the most adorable cotton rugs made in India and dyed in to match Sherman Williams colors…

They had some beautiful wool ones too…

I picked up this one for the upstairs master…

Loved every minute of our time at the beach and happy to not have to wear this toasty chapeau any longer!
