This is where the builder put it which is nuts thank you very much. Now mind you we did have the drawings, but the builder had drawn these palatial chairs in front of it, and we are thinking yeah, looks good, without getting out the tape measurer and actually spacing it for use...
I mean look at it, does anyone see a roomy chair situation happenin here? I don't think so...
So we shortened the pool by two feet and now it's like this...
Now for the inside, remember the wood beam dilemma I was going through whether to get old beams or just use new ones? Well there was a compromise. They are taking old wood beam boards and wrapping them around an existing box so to simulate the old wood beam without the cost and weight that the full size beams would create.
Here is the space where they will go over the plywood...
Towards the family room...
Facing the kitchen...
Now for the other uh-oh moments. Closet space in my daughters room, well it's a closet if you lived perhaps in the 1930's, and sadly I don't have a pic of it probably because I was too busy having a fit about it! Anyhoo here's our master bedroom and sitting area...
And another WTH builder? The master bath has a window in-between the vanity which is fine, however it isn't centered between it...WHAT? This would be one of those moments that aren't gettin fixed! Now I'm officially cranky, because in the end it is our fault because we didn't notice it on the blue print, but who does this and why??????
A view of the stairwell...
Another downstairs...
Loving it!

I don't think your builder spent much time reviewing the plans or his drafts person certainly didn't have the correct scale to include chairs between the fireplace and the pool. And you said the window is framed as it was shown on the blueprint? Then again, the drafts person or the cabinet designer should have brought up this error....I'm cranky along with you, Maureen.
