There is something about a sunny filled room that can instantly make your mood better. Don't you just feel great in sunny spaces? I remember when I was little going into older homes and loving the room that was designated as the sun room. Sometimes it was a multiple season porch, and other times it was just a room in the house surrounded by windows and seeming to face the most gorgeous light at all times of the day. I long for a room like that! Most of all I love my rooms to be filled with as much natural light as possible and I'm forever opening up the plantation shutters wide to allow more light into our family room instead of looking at the backyard through the wooden slats that honestly hide too much light!
