Sundays in April...

     You know what is so great about Sundays?  I love everything about Sundays, especially Sundays in April.  You can grab a cup of your favorite hot beverage, and on this day it happens to be Starbucks Tribute Blend with beans from Ethiopia, Sumatra, Papa New Guinea, and Columbia (that, my friends, is a well traveled bean) with a bit of sugar and light cream.  Well alright, the truth is there is nothing exactly light about half and half, but it's Sunday so fa-get-a-bout-it!  You grab your favorite cup of Joe, your furry little niños, the Dallas Morning News, and head straight outside on a ridiculously, glorious beautiful Sunday, and since it's April, it stays that way for the entire day.

And then because it's Sunday, we need some bacon, and not the microwave/Bounty/3 minute version of bacon makin kind of day...

That would never do at all because it's Sunday and you deserve the real deal so you fry it up in a pan and get splashed with the grease and yell inappropriate four letter words because it bloody well hurts, and don't I sound very English right now...yes, yes I do...and then you get to have this...


and then three hours later it's time to do something, because otherwise you are just being a sloth, and a loaf, and a couch potato.  And since it is April, and you are feeling so very inspired with the weather,  you tell Big D that wouldn't it be wonderful, really amazing, and utter Sunday in April perfection to put up some tiny white chinese lanterns to adorn the Pergola?
And he does, he actually does...

And then it's back to the couch to continue our vegetative state until the pesky mosquitos chase us away!
