Sitting fireside at the beach...

It's been a long time coming, but very soon we will be breaking ground on our property on 30A for Beach Cheeky....whaaaaat?!?!....yikes........!!!!  So excited, but nervous because Big D and I have never built a home from the dirt up, we are more of a renovate the hell out of a place kind of people!  Yet we are apparently doing this for real!  I've gone back and forth for quite some time tweaking plans with the architect, and everything is finally decided on...that is, I think.  Collective rolling of the eyes from Big D!  The original plan called for a fireplace inside the house, and I thought no that is silly, we won't use it!  So icksnay the fireplace please!  But throughout the winter, I've started to change my tune a bit on the whole thing, because as we speak I'm sitting in front of mine and it's not that cold out at 51 degrees.  The weather in the winter along the Emerald Coast is very similar to Dallas, and we will go there for holidays from time to time, and late fall weekends, not just the hot, hot summer.  So I'm leaning towards having one, (well, today I am!) because they are so very cozy indeed!  Not sure what we will do with the TV though, because windows flank both sides of the area that would be designated for the fireplace and I'm not so much a fan of a flat screen over the mantle kind of situation.

Here are some great looking ones...
